I have enjoyed creative writing for many years. Since becoming a parent myself I have started writing stories (I think of them as fables) to inspire parents. My fables for parents are all deliberately written to inspire vital living and loving, responsive parenting as based on the latest research, my clinical experience and my own experiences as a mum. I am happy for my fables to be distributed freely provided that you clearly credit myself, Koa Whittingham as author and provide a link to this website: www.koawhittingham.com
My fables for parents
Ashley’s true self: Ashley believes that she is the General of the good army and her mission is to prove that she is a good mother. But who is she really? This fable for parents is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Brianna’s life mission: What if loving your child means accepting your monsters? This fable for parents is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Once upon a time: Parents have many wishes for their children. But what should we prioritise?
The best way to mother: With so much disagreement on how to be a good mother, who can Sophie turn to? Will she discover how to be the best mother she can be to little Felix?
